To try claw back some good press, developers at Avalanche leaked internal plans to allow players to play as a transgender character . Clearly, the developers inside Avalanche were embarrassed and upset that the actions of Leavitt and Rowling were jeopardising the game they’re creating. It’s hard not to feel bad for t
If memory serves, the only characters in the movies with tattoos, other than the fully indoctrinated Death Eaters, did some time in Azkaban. Witches and Wizards don't just get thrown into Azkaban over small offenses either. Being able to customize a character in a Harry Potter game that’s dressed head to toe in black and oozing that bad boy/girl vibe will call to people in a way that mom jeans and converse just don
Editor’s Note: Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has been accused of transphobia by those in the LGBTQ+ community. This decree is an ordinance that was established by the Ministry of Magic in 1875. Enforced by the Improper Use of Magic Office, Https://Hogwartslegacyfans.Com it bans the use of underage magic outside of school. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets , the house-elf Dobby uses a Hover Charm on Aunt Petunia's dessert, smashing it onto the floor. Harry is blamed, and receives a message from the Ministry warning him that another breach would result in his expulsion from Hogwarts. His most serious violation was the summer before his fifth year in The Order of the Phoenix, when he casts a Patronus Charm against Dementors attacking him and his cousin Dudley. This results in another notice telling him he is to be expelled. Thankfully, Dumbledore and other Order of the Phoenix members mediate for Harry, which clears his name during his disciplinary hear
Being able to assume the role of a dark wizard would really open up the other half of the wizarding world. In basically all other Harry Potter games so far, the closest you could get to going dark was being sorted into Slytherin . But now, even the sweet Hufflepuff house could have the chance to go rogue and fill out their hex branch before anything else. The fact is that some people just side more with the dark. Slinging curses, wearing combat boots, and hanging out at Borgin and Burkes could be someone’s exact idea of a good time, Hogwarts: A Dark Legacy has the potential to bring that nightmare to l
Despite being an intelligent humanoid race, goblins have faced much adversity and persecution in the Harry Potter universe, particularly in the 17th and 18th centuries when goblin rebellions were prevalent. Many wizards still consider them a subservient race, and to this day they are forbidden from using wands by The Ministry of Magic. In Chapter 15 of The Order of the Phoenix, the Daily Prophet claimed there were still disruptive groups of goblins even during the 1990s, although no concrete evidence supported the newspaper's claim. It seems entirely likely for some goblins to still harbor resentment towards wizards. In 1877, the 393rd Quidditch World Cup became known as " The Tournament that Nobody Remembers, " as a venue was selected, tickets were sold, and players were injured, but no one can recall the events of that day. It's not known for sure what happened, but speculation has narrowed the blame to either a colossal outbreak of Cerebrumous Splattergroit (a fungus causing confusion and memory loss) or a mass Memory Charm perpetuated by the Goblin Liberation Fr
Despite the connotation of their title, the Dark Arts, are not innately evil. Mean? Sure. But straight-up evil? That depends on the witch or wizard. There’s a lot of grey area in good and evil, both in the wizarding world just like the real world. Even if you’re the purest of Gryffindors since Godric himself, there’s always been some part of you that’s just itched to hex that Karen in front of you at Trader Joe’s. Romilda Vane, a fine and upstanding Gryffindor, tried to use Amortentia, the world’s strongest love potion, to shoot her shot with Harry Potter, but no one is calling her e
While it’s reported that there’s no way to actually side with the villain in the rumored Hogwarts: A Dark Legacy , the spells to cast and interactions to have are totally up to gamer discretion. It’s more or less the same as siding with the Jedi or Sith path in Knights of the Old Republ
Since the developers have already made it clear that a lot of the game will take place both in and outside of Hogwarts, it's hard to imagine the player's adventures away from school being devoid of magical use. The trailer portrays a student fighting off a masked villain in a dark woods — likely the Forbidden Forest — along with encountering trolls and dragons in unidentifiable settings. One shot shows a student attacking a charging Graphorn with his wand, before dodging out of harm's way. Whether or not this takes place on school grounds is uncertain. Still, using magic outside of school seems like a must in this game, considering a good chunk of time is spent away from Hogwa
